Is the HP Elite c1030 Chromebook good for everyday use?

Yes. The 16 GB of RAM and 1920x1200 screen handle browsing, video calls and office web apps well. It is not suited to gaming or heavy local software.

How much storage does it have?

It has a 16 GB drive, which is very small. Plan on keeping files in Google Drive or an SD card rather than on the device.

Is the renewed version worth it over a new one?

A renewed unit is the cheaper route, but check the seller's condition grade and warranty. The best new price is $289 at eBay as of November 8, 2026.

Does it have a touchscreen?

This configuration does not list touch or stylus support. Assume a standard non-touch display unless the seller states otherwise.

HP rates it at 12 hours. Real-world use with brightness up and many tabs will be shorter, but it should cover a workday.

Will it keep getting Chrome OS updates?
