Is the HP EliteBook 8 G2i good for everyday office work?

Yes. The Core Ultra 5 325, 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB SSD handle email, browsers, spreadsheets and video calls comfortably. It is not built for gaming or heavy video editing.

Does the 14-inch screen have a 16:10 aspect ratio?

Yes. The display is 14 inches at 1920 x 1200 WUXGA in a 16:10 shape, so it is taller than a 16:9 screen and shows more of a document.

Can I upgrade the RAM or storage?

The 512 GB SSD is generally replaceable, but memory on many EliteBook 8 G2i configurations is soldered, so check the exact model before buying if you plan to add RAM.

Is Windows 11 Pro included?

Yes. The listed configuration ships with Windows 11 Pro, which adds BitLocker, Remote Desktop host and domain join over Home.

Our take on the HP EliteBook 8 G2i

The HP EliteBook 8 G2i is a 14-inch business laptop with an Intel Core Ultra 5 325, 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD, running Windows 11 Pro. Its 1920 x 1200 WUXGA screen uses a 16:10 shape, which gives more vertical room for documents and spreadsheets than a 16:9 panel. It is a light-duty office machine rather than a workstation, since graphics come from the integrated Intel GPU. The best new price is $2,019.21 at Amazon as of November 7, 2026, from a single store, so there is no cheaper new listing to compare against right now.
