Is the HP OmniBook X Flip 16 worth it at $779.99?

At $779.99 at eBay as of November 5, 2026, it is a fair price for a 16-inch touch convertible with 16 GB RAM and a 512 GB SSD. It makes sense if you want a big screen and tablet mode more than a bright, high-refresh display.

How does it compare with a 14-inch OmniBook X Flip?

The 16-inch model gives you a larger 1920x1200 canvas for split-screen work and drawing, at about 4.1 lb. The 14-inch version is easier to carry but shows less on screen.

Is the 300-nit screen bright enough?

Indoors, yes. At 300 nits it will look washed out near windows or outdoors, so it suits desk and couch use better than patio work.

Can it run AI features locally?

Yes. The Intel AI Boost NPU handles Windows AI tasks like Copilot and background blur in calls, though heavy generative work still leans on the cloud.

What comes in the box?

Expect the laptop, its power adapter and paperwork. A stylus is not standard on this model, so check before buying if you plan to draw.

Convertibles like this tend to dip during back-to-school and Black Friday sales. The current $779.99 at eBay is already near the bottom of its recent range, so waiting may not save much.
