The Ibanez RGA42FM is a solid-body electric guitar with a flamed maple top over a meranti body, a maple neck, and a jatoba fretboard. It has a fixed bridge, a 25.5-inch scale, and two humbuckers, which suits players who want a simple, stable rock and metal guitar without a tremolo. The flat finish and black hardware give it a plain, workmanlike look. At $479.99 at Adorama as of November 4, 2026, it sits at the low end of its recent range, with 6 stores pricing it new.
