Is the ILM 861C worth it at $279.99?

At $279.99 at Amazon as of November 4, 2026, it is one of the cheaper carbon fiber full-face helmets. You get ECE and DOT certification and a light shell, but expect more wind noise than a premium helmet.

Does it come with a Pinlock insert?

It has Pinlock EVO pins, but the insert itself is normally sold separately. Budget for one if you ride in rain or cold.

How does the 861C compare with the ILM 861?

The 861C is the carbon fiber version, so it is lighter and costs more than the standard shell model. Both share the same full-face shape and Bluetooth cutouts.

What sizes does it come in?

The listing here is size XL in black. ILM sells the 861C in a range of sizes, so check the brand's size chart before ordering.

Can I fit a Bluetooth headset and glasses?

Yes. There are cutouts under the cheek pads for speakers, and the liner is shaped to leave room for glasses.

Only one store lists it new, so discounts are rare. Watch for seasonal sales at Amazon rather than expecting a price war between stores.
