Our take on the Intercon Kona 5 Piece Ladder Back Counter Dining Set

The Intercon Kona is a five-piece counter-height dining set: a 54-inch square table plus four ladder-back chairs. It seats four around a compact footprint, which suits open kitchens and smaller dining rooms better than a long rectangular table. Assembly is listed at under 15 minutes, and the table stands 36 inches high, in the counter-height range. It is rated 4.6 out of 5 from 107 ratings.

Questions and answers

Is the Intercon Kona set worth it?
For a four-person household with a small dining area, yes. The 4.6 out of 5 rating from 107 owners points to solid build quality and easy assembly at this size and height.
How tall is the table, and what stools or chairs fit it?
The table is 36 inches high, which is counter height. Standard counter stools of about 24 to 26 inches seat height pair with it; the four included ladder-back chairs are already matched.
How long does assembly take?
The listing states under 15 minutes. Expect to attach legs and stretchers; having a second person helps steady the table.
How many people does it seat?
Four. The table is 54 inches square, so there is no room to squeeze in a fifth chair comfortably.
What are the overall dimensions?
54 inches wide, 54 inches deep and 36 inches high. Measure your space with chairs pulled out, since the chairs add depth when in use.
