Our take on the Ashley Valebeck Counter Height Dining Table and 4 Barstools

The Ashley Valebeck is a 5-piece counter-height dining set: a 59.9-inch rectangular wood table on a trestle base plus four barstools, in a white finish with metal and wood framing. It seats four at counter height, which suits kitchens with an island or a casual dining nook. The set is heavy at 214 lb, so plan for two people and a clear path on delivery day. It is a widely sold Ashley signature line, so matching pieces and replacement parts are easy to find.

Questions and answers

Is counter height right for my kitchen?
Counter height is about 36 inches, matching standard kitchen islands and counters. It is taller than a regular 30-inch dining table and shorter than a 42-inch bar. Measure your island overhang before buying.
How many people does it seat?
Four. The set includes four barstools and the 59.9-inch rectangular top is sized for them. There is no bench or leaf to add seating.
How hard is assembly?
Expect a couple of hours with two people. The set ships in multiple heavy boxes totaling 214 lb, and the trestle base needs to be squared up before you tighten the bolts.
Does it match other Ashley Valebeck pieces?
Yes. Valebeck is a full Ashley collection, so a matching server, bench or additional stools are usually available separately. Check the finish name before mixing pieces.
Is the white finish easy to keep clean?
Wipe spills promptly with a damp cloth and avoid abrasive cleaners. The white wood finish can show scuffs and ring marks, so use coasters and felt pads under the stools.
What do buyers say about the Ashley Valebeck Counter Height Dining Table and 4 Barstools?
