Is $678.99 a good price for the Intex PureSpa Plus?

Yes. That is $678.99 at Walmart as of November 8, 2026, near the bottom of what this 6-person set sells for. Inflatable spas usually cost more in late spring and early summer.

How long does it take to heat up?

Expect roughly a day or more from a cold fill, depending on air temperature and whether the insulated cover is on. Keeping the cover on between uses shortens reheats.

Does it really fit six people?

It is rated for six, but the round 85-inch tub is comfortable for about four adults. Six works better with children or with legs interlocked.

Can I leave it outside in winter?

Intex advises draining and storing it when temperatures drop near freezing. The vinyl and pump are not built for hard freezes.

What comes in the box?

The spa, an insulated cover, a thermal ground cloth, two filter cartridges, an inflation hose, a carry bag and a floating chlorine dispenser.

Does it need special wiring?

No. It runs on a standard 120 V household outlet, though a dedicated circuit is safer than sharing one with other appliances.

Cons

No molded seats or real hydrotherapy jets
Must be drained, dried and stored for winter in cold climates
