Is the K9 Ballistics Tough Dog Crate Pad worth it?

For dogs that scratch, dig or have accidents in the crate, the ripstop fabric and waterproof backing make it a durable choice. At $110 at Chewy.com as of November 5, 2026, it costs more than a basic mat but tends to outlast one.

Will it survive a dog that chews?

It is built for occasional chewers and hard play, not determined chewers. Dogs that routinely destroy beds may still get through the fabric, so pair it with supervision.

What size should I get for a large crate?

The XL measures 53 by 36 inches and fits most 48-inch crates with some room to spare. Measure your crate's interior before ordering, since the pad is flat and should lie without bunching.

Is the pad waterproof?

The backing is waterproof, so spills and accidents won't soak through to the crate floor. The top fabric resists water but is not fully waterproof.

It is machine washable and made for frequent washing. Use a gentle cycle and air dry or tumble low to protect the non-skid coating.
