Pros
  • 650 ft-lb nut-busting torque handles most lug nuts
  • Brushless motor for longer runtime and tool life
  • Three speed settings for control on smaller fasteners
  • Compact 6.8-in body and 4.2 lbs bare weight
  • Battery and charger included; about 1-hour charge
Cons
  • Mid-torque, not a substitute for a high-torque wrench on stubborn fasteners
  • Hog-ring anvil can mark soft sockets and needs a firm pull to swap
  • Bare-tool weight climbs noticeably with the 4.0Ah battery
  • Kobalt 24V batteries only fit Kobalt tools

Questions and answers

Is 650 ft-lb enough for lug nuts?
Yes for most passenger cars and light trucks, which call for roughly 80 to 150 ft-lb. It also covers many suspension and hitch bolts, but rusted or heavy-duty fasteners may need a high-torque wrench.
What comes in the box?
The wrench, a 24V 4.0Ah battery and a charger. Confirm the listing includes the battery, since some sellers list bare tool only.
Does it use the same batteries as other Kobalt 24V tools?
Yes. It runs on the Kobalt 24V battery platform, so it shares packs with other Kobalt 24V tools.
What size sockets fit?
It takes standard 1/2-in square drive impact sockets. Use impact-rated sockets, not chrome hand sockets.
Is $120 a good price?
That is the lowest of the five new listings as of November 4, 2026, so it is a strong price for a kit with battery and charger. Check that the eBay listing is new and complete before buying.
Where is the Kobalt 24-volt Variable Speed Brushless 1/2-in Drive Cordless Impact Wrench cheapest?
At eBay, for $120.00, 31% under what the other stores charge, as of our latest check.
Where can I buy the Kobalt 24-volt Variable Speed Brushless 1/2-in Drive Cordless Impact Wrench?
6 stores we checked sell it, including Mercari, Amazon, eBay, Lowe's, Walmart.
