Our take on the Ktaxon 32 Inch Square Wood Burning Fire Pit with Mesh Lid and Ash Fork

The Ktaxon 32 Inch Square Wood Burning Fire Pit is a steel outdoor fire bowl with a square footprint, a mesh spark lid and an ash fork for tending the fire. The square shape gives it a modern look on a patio and lets it sit flush against seating on all four sides. At $71.99 at Walmart as of November 3, 2026, it is a budget-priced entry into a full-size wood pit, and only one store lists it new, so there is no cheaper new option to compare against.

Questions and answers

Is the Ktaxon 32 inch fire pit worth it?
At $71.99 at Walmart as of November 3, 2026, it is a low-cost way to get a large square wood pit with a lid and fork. Expect basic steel that needs covering in wet weather.
Does it come with a cover?
No. The listing includes the mesh lid and ash fork, not a weather cover. Buy a cover separately if it will stay outside.
Can I cook on it?
No cooking grate is included, and the mesh lid is for spark control, not grilling. Use it for wood fires only unless you add a separate grate.
How big is the fire area?
It is a 32-inch square pit, which gives room for standard firewood and seating on all four sides. Check your patio space for clearance around it.
When is it cheapest?
Only Walmart lists it new at $71.99 as of November 3, 2026, so there is no second store to compare. Watch for seasonal outdoor clearance in late summer and fall.
