Our take on the Lantine 70.87-Inch Long Executive Desk

The Lantine 70.87-Inch Long Executive Desk is a wide, flat-top desk made of MDF with no drawers or storage. Its main draw is the nearly six-foot work surface, enough for two monitors, a laptop and paperwork at once. It is a bare-bones piece: no cable management, no hutch, no shelves. Shoppers should compare its current price against the desk's own recent range before buying, since a plain MDF top carries little resale value.

Best forBuyers who want maximum desk surface for the moneyHome offices and shared workstationsTwo-monitor or dual-laptop setupsMinimalists who keep files elsewhere

Cons
  • No storage at all: no drawers, shelves or hutch
  • MDF top is prone to water rings and edge chips

Questions and answers

Is the Lantine 70.87-inch desk worth it?
It depends on price. You are paying for surface area, not features, so it makes sense only if the current price is near the low end of its recent range. Compare it with similarly sized desks that include drawers before deciding.
How sturdy is an MDF desk this long?
MDF is dense and flat but heavy, and a 70-inch span can flex in the middle if the frame is thin. Check the listed weight capacity and add a center leg or support if you plan to lean on it.
Does it come with storage or cable management?
No. The desk has no drawers, shelves or cable routing, so plan on a separate filing cabinet and clips or a tray for cords.
How long does assembly take?
Expect roughly 45 to 90 minutes with two people. The tools are included, but the length of the top makes it awkward to flip alone.
Will it fit my space?
At 70.87 inches wide, measure your wall and doorway first. Leave at least 30 inches of clearance behind the chair for pulling in and out.
When is the best time to buy it?
Watch the price history and buy when it sits near its recent low. Wide desks often drop during back-to-school and Black Friday sales.
