Our take on the Lantine 70.86-Inch Large Executive Desk, Industrial Home Office Computer Desk

The Lantine 70.86-Inch Large Executive Desk is a wide industrial-style computer desk with a medium-density fiberboard (MDF) top and a black metal frame. Its main draw is the 70.86-inch surface, which leaves room for a monitor, laptop, and paperwork at once. It has no drawers or shelves, so storage is up to you. It is a budget-tier desk, and assembly is required with tools included.

Pros
  • 70.86-inch top fits a monitor, laptop, and desk accessories together
  • Open frame leaves legroom and room for a chair or filing cabinet underneath
  • Industrial MDF-and-metal look suits loft and home-office decor
  • Tools included for assembly
  • No drawers or cabinets keeps the footprint simple and the price low
Cons
  • MDF top is prone to swelling if liquids sit on it; use coasters and wipe spills fast
  • No storage, so you need your own drawers or shelves
  • Adult assembly required, and a desk this wide is easier with two people
  • Large footprint needs a wall or room at least about 71 inches wide

Questions and answers

Is the Lantine 70.86-inch desk worth it?
It is a reasonable pick if you want a wide, open work surface at a low price and do not need drawers. If you need storage or a solid-wood top, spend more elsewhere.
How sturdy is the MDF top?
MDF is dense and flat but not water-resistant. Keep drinks on coasters and wipe spills promptly, and avoid standing or sitting on the desk.
Does it come with storage or a hutch?
No. The desk has no drawers, shelves, or hutch, so plan on a separate filing cabinet or monitor stand for organization.
How long does assembly take?
Expect roughly 30 to 60 minutes with the included tools. Two people make it easier to flip and align the wide top.
Will a 34-inch ultrawide monitor and a laptop fit?
Yes. The 70.86-inch surface leaves room for a 34-inch ultrawide plus a laptop and still has space at the sides.
When is the price lowest?
Large furniture like this tends to drop during back-to-school and Black Friday sales. Check the price history chart before buying.
