Our take on the Lark Manor Amandalee Solid Wood Low Profile Platform Bed

The Lark Manor Amandalee is a low-profile platform bed made of solid wood, so it supports a mattress directly without a box spring. Its low height suits rooms with sloped ceilings or a modern, uncluttered look. It is rated 4.7 out of 5 from 9 ratings, a small sample, so treat the score as a rough signal. No current price was available to compare against its recent range.

Questions and answers

Is this bed worth it?
If you want a solid wood platform bed that skips the box spring, it is a reasonable pick. The 4.7 rating comes from just 9 buyers, so weigh the small sample.
Do I need a box spring?
No. It is a platform bed with slats, so you place the mattress directly on the frame.
How low is the bed?
It is a low-profile platform, so the mattress sits close to the floor. Expect less room underneath for storage bins.
What size mattresses does it fit?
It is sold in standard bed sizes, so match the mattress size to the frame size you order. Check the listing for the exact size before buying.
Is it hard to assemble?
Solid wood platform beds usually take an hour or more to assemble and are easier with two people because of the weight.
When is it cheapest?
No price history is available for this bed, so there is no reliable pattern to point to a cheapest time. Compare store prices before buying.
