Is the IdeaPad Slim 5i worth it at $799.99?

At $799.99 at B&H as of October 29, 2026, you get a 16-inch screen, 16 GB RAM, a 1 TB SSD and a year of Microsoft 365. That is fair for a general-purpose laptop, though it has not dropped below that price in the tracked period.

Only light ones. It uses integrated Intel graphics, so esports titles run at low settings but modern 3D games will be slow.

How is the battery life?

Lenovo rates the Slim 5i for roughly a full workday of mixed use. The 16-inch screen and 60 Hz panel drain faster under video or heavy multitasking.

Can I upgrade the RAM and storage?

Lenovo lists support for up to 32 GB of RAM, so you can add memory later. The 1 TB M.2 NVMe SSD can also be swapped for a larger drive.

What comes in the box?

The laptop, its power adapter and a Microsoft 365 Personal subscription code. A mouse and sleeve are not included.

Its lowest tracked price since October 29, 2026 is $799.99, the same as its highest, so it has not gone on sale yet. Watch for back-to-school and Black Friday discounts.
