Our take on the Lenovo IdeaPad 5 15ITL05 Laptop

The IdeaPad 5 15ITL05 is Lenovo's mainstream 15.6-inch Windows laptop, built around an 11th-gen Intel quad-core CPU at 2.8 GHz with 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD. This configuration adds a touchscreen, a fingerprint reader, a backlit keyboard and a choice of Intel or NVIDIA graphics. At $995 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, it sits at the top of its recent range, and only one store lists it new, so there is no price competition to push it down.

Best forStudents and home office users who want a big touchscreenBuyers who need 16 GB RAM and a 512 GB SSD out of the boxWindows users who want a fingerprint reader and backlit keyboard
Pros
  • 16 GB RAM and a 512 GB SSD handle everyday multitasking without upgrades
  • 15.6-inch 1080p touchscreen with an anti-glare finish
  • Fingerprint login and a backlit keyboard are included
  • USB-C and HDMI cover monitors and common accessories
  • Energy Star rated
Cons
  • 11th-gen Intel quad-core is several generations old
  • Listed weight of 1 lb is implausible for a 15.6-inch laptop; expect roughly 3.5 to 4 lb
  • Only one new listing at $995, so no cheaper alternative seller
  • NVIDIA graphics option is entry-level, not for serious gaming
  • No card reader or Thunderbolt listed

Questions and answers

Is the IdeaPad 5 15ITL05 still worth buying in 2026?
It is a reasonable budget pick if the price is right, but the 11th-gen Intel chip is old. At $995 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, you are paying near the top of its range for dated hardware.
How does it compare with newer IdeaPad 5 models?
Newer IdeaPad 5 generations use 12th-gen and 13th-gen Intel chips with better battery life and faster integrated graphics. This model's advantage is only its price, and at $995 that advantage is thin.
Does it have a touchscreen?
Yes, this configuration lists a touchscreen on the 15.6-inch 1920 x 1080 anti-glare panel.
How much RAM and storage does it have?
16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB solid-state drive. Note that the listing edition text mentions 12 GB RAM, which conflicts with the 16 GB spec.
Is the NVIDIA graphics good for gaming?
It is an entry-level option for light gaming and photo editing, not for demanding titles at high settings.
When is it cheapest?
Lenovo laptops typically drop during Black Friday and back-to-school sales. With one seller at $995 as of November 4, 2026, waiting for a holiday sale is the main way to pay less.
Where is the Lenovo IdeaPad 5 15ITL05 Laptop cheapest?
At eBay, for $995.00, as of our latest check.
Where can I buy the Lenovo IdeaPad 5 15ITL05 Laptop?
2 stores we checked sell it, including eBay, Walmart.
