Our take on the LG gram Pro 16" Light Laptop, Intel Core Ultra 7 355, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD

The LG gram Pro 16 is a 16-inch laptop built around the idea of low weight: it comes in at about 1,359g (roughly 3 lb), which is unusually light for a machine with a discrete GeForce RTX 5050 GPU. The 16-inch WQXGA (2560x1600) IPS screen, Intel Core Ultra 7 355, 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and a 1TB NVMe Gen4 SSD make it a capable all-rounder for work and light creative tasks, and the 77Wh battery is large for the weight. Its best new price is $1,448.99 at eBay as of November 5, 2026, with two stores listing it new. That is a premium price for the specs, so the light chassis and screen are what you are paying for.

Best forFrequent travelers who want a big screen without the weightStudents and office workers carrying a laptop all dayLight photo and video editing on the goBuyers who value battery life and portability over raw gaming power
Pros
  • Very light for a 16-inch laptop with a dedicated GPU
  • Sharp 2560x1600 IPS display with plenty of vertical workspace
  • Large 77Wh battery for its class
  • 16GB LPDDR5x RAM and 1TB Gen4 SSD out of the box
  • Windows 11 Pro included
Cons
  • RTX 5050 is entry-level for gaming and heavy 3D work
  • LPDDR5x memory is soldered and cannot be upgraded
  • Premium price relative to similarly specced 16-inch laptops
  • Light chassis can flex and runs warm under sustained load
  • IPS panel, not OLED, so contrast is only average

Questions and answers

Is the LG gram Pro 16 good for gaming?
It can run modern games at moderate settings thanks to the RTX 5050, but it is not a gaming laptop. Expect playable frame rates at 1080p rather than high settings at the full 2560x1600 resolution.
Can I upgrade the RAM or storage?
The 16GB of LPDDR5x memory is soldered, so it cannot be upgraded. The 1TB NVMe Gen4 SSD is a standard M.2 drive and can be replaced.
How long does the battery last?
The 77Wh battery is large for a 1.36kg laptop. Real-world mixed use typically runs a full workday, with heavy GPU load cutting that substantially.
Is it worth the price compared with other 16-inch laptops?
You pay a premium for the low weight and large battery. If portability matters most, it is worth it; if you want maximum performance per dollar, heavier rivals with stronger GPUs cost less.
What comes in the box?
The laptop, a compact USB-C power adapter and the usual paperwork. A sleeve or mouse is not included.
When is it cheapest?
The best new price seen is $1,448.99 at eBay as of November 5, 2026. Laptop prices drop around back-to-school and holiday sales, and older gram generations fall further once a successor ships.
Where is the LG gram Pro 16" Light Laptop, Intel Core Ultra 7 355, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD cheapest?
