Is the Mainstays electric standing desk worth it?

For light home use and a tight budget, yes. If you type hard, use multiple monitors or need a rock-solid desk, a sturdier mid-range desk is a better long-term buy.

How do the height memory presets work?

You set a sitting and a standing height, save each to a button, and the desk moves to that height at one touch. Presets can drift slightly over time and may need resetting.

How much weight can it hold?

It is a budget desk built for a monitor, laptop and normal desk gear. Check the listed capacity before adding heavy monitors or a full desktop tower.

Does it wobble at standing height?

Some owners report wobble when the desk is raised near its top height, especially on carpet. Placing it on a hard floor and keeping the load centered helps.

What comes in the box?

The desktop, the electric frame and legs, the control panel, and the hardware and tools for assembly. A headphone hook is included.

Mainstays desks are Walmart house-brand products, so they tend to drop during Walmart rollbacks and back-to-school and holiday sales. Watch the price history rather than buying at full list.

Our take on the Mainstays Electric Standing Desk with Height Memory Presets

The Mainstays Electric Standing Desk is a budget-priced sit-stand desk with an electric lift and height memory presets, sold mainly through Walmart. It uses a wood desktop and adds a headphone hook, a small extra that keeps a headset off the work surface. It is aimed at shoppers who want powered height changes without paying premium desk-brand prices. The presets let you jump between sitting and standing heights with one touch instead of holding a button.
