Is the Meucci MESPW a good cue for a beginner?

It can work, but it is a mid-range cue with a 12.5mm tip and a firm hit. Beginners usually do fine with a 13mm tip and a simpler cue at a lower price.

Can I change the weight?

Yes. The Everlock weight system adjusts the cue between 18 and 20 oz, and it ships at 19 oz.

What tip and joint does it use?

It has a 12.5mm Ultraskin Black medium tip on a polycarbonate ferrule, with a 5/16x18 joint.

Does it come with a case?

The listing does not mention a case, so plan on buying one separately if you need protection for transport.

How does it compare with a full-splice Sneaky Pete?

The Jatoba points here are inlays on a maple forearm, not a true full splice. It plays well, but collectors of full-splice cues look for a different construction.

Its best new price was $460 at Game Tables Online as of November 6, 2026. Cue prices move with sales, so compare the 4 stores listing it before buying.
