Does the Miele CVA 7440 need special wiring?

Yes. It is a 240 V, 1450 W machine, so it needs a dedicated 240 V circuit, not a standard US 120 V outlet. Plan for an electrician during installation.

Is it plumbed or does it have a water tank?

It is a built-in, plumbed unit with a 0.71-gallon water capacity. It is meant to connect to a water line rather than be refilled by hand.

Can it make two drinks at once?

Yes. It has two brewing spouts and brews two cups simultaneously, which suits couples making coffee together.

How much milk does the carafe hold?

About 0.18 gallons. That is enough for a few milk drinks, but larger households will refill it often.

Is $5,399 a good price for it?

It is the best new price found as of November 7, 2026, at Best Buy, with only two stores listing it new. Built-in Miele machines rarely discount deeply, so expect to pay close to list.

The listing states no integrated grinder, so pair it with a separate grinder or use pre-ground coffee.
