Our take on the Milwaukee 2865-20 M18 FUEL 7/16" Impact Wrench with M18 Battery, 2 Pack

The Milwaukee 2865-20 is a cordless high-torque impact wrench in Milwaukee's M18 FUEL line, built around a brushless motor rated at 750 ft-lbs of fastening torque and 9000 in-lbs of breakaway torque. It has four speed settings, 2300 rpm and 2800 impacts per minute, and weighs 5.85 lb. The drive is a 7/16-inch quick-change hex shank, which suits hex-shank accessories rather than standard square-drive sockets. Questions and answers

Is the Milwaukee 2865-20 worth it?
It is worth it if you already own M18 batteries and need high torque in a cordless tool. The bundle adds two batteries, which softens the cost, but you still need a charger.
Does it come with a battery and charger?
The listing includes a two-pack of M18 batteries but no charger and no battery capacity figure is given. Plan on an M18 charger if you do not already have one.
What size sockets does it take?
It has a 7/16-inch quick-change hex shank, so it takes hex-shank accessories. Standard 1/2-inch square-drive impact sockets need an adapter.
How does it compare with the 2767 high-torque impact wrench?
Both are M18 FUEL high-torque tools with similar 750 ft-lb class torque. The 2865-20 uses a 7/16-inch hex drive, while the 2767 uses a 1/2-inch square drive for standard sockets.
When is the best time to buy it?
The only recorded price is $603.07 as of October 31, 2026, so there is no past low to time a purchase against. Watch for Milwaukee promotions that bundle a charger or extra batteries.
What do buyers say about the Milwaukee 2865-20 M18 FUEL 7/16" Impact Wrench with M18 Battery, 2 Pack?
Rated 4.7 out of 5 from 110 ratings.
