Our take on the Milwaukee M18 FUEL 1/2 in. High Torque Impact Wrench Kit with 5Ah and 8Ah Batteries

The Milwaukee M18 FUEL 1/2 in. High Torque Impact Wrench is a cordless 18V tool aimed at heavy fastening: lug nuts, suspension bolts and frame work. This kit bundles 5Ah and 8Ah batteries, so you get a compact pack and a long-run pack in one box. The tool weighs 7.5 lb, which is heavy for overhead work but normal for a high-torque impact. At $259.98 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, the kit sits at the low end of what these kits typically sell for, and it is the best new price among the 4 stores listing it.

Best forAuto mechanics and DIYers removing lug nuts and suspension boltsContractors who already own M18 batteriesBuyers who want two batteries in one kitHeavy fastening where corded power is inconvenient
Pros
  • High torque output handles stubborn lug nuts and rusted bolts
  • Two batteries included: 5Ah for lighter work, 8Ah for long jobs
  • Part of the M18 platform, so batteries and chargers are shared
  • 1/2 in. drive fits common impact sockets directly
  • 4.7 out of 5 from 55 ratings
Cons
  • 7.5 lb is heavy for extended overhead or one-handed use
  • High torque can over-tighten or snap smaller fasteners without care
  • Kit price is high next to bare-tool listings if you already have batteries
  • Loud under load; hearing protection is sensible

Yes if you do regular automotive or heavy fastening work and want two batteries up front. At $259.98 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, it is the best new price among the 4 stores listing it. If you already own M18 batteries, a bare tool may cost less.
How does it compare with the M18 FUEL Mid-Torque impact wrench?

What batteries come in the kit?
The kit includes one 5Ah and one 8Ah M18 lithium-ion battery. The 5Ah keeps the tool lighter for quick jobs; the 8Ah gives longer runtime for heavy work.
Will it remove lug nuts on a truck?
Yes, high-torque 1/2 in. impacts in this class are built for truck and SUV lug nuts. Use a torque stick or a torque wrench for final tightening so you do not over-torque.
Does it come with a charger and case?
Milwaukee sells this as a kit with batteries; check the listing for whether a charger and case are included, since bundle contents vary by seller.
When is the best time to buy it?
Kit prices tend to dip during holiday sales and Milwaukee promotions. The current $259.98 at eBay as of November 4, 2026 is already at the low end of its recent range.
