Questions and answers

Is the Milwaukee M18 FUEL 3/8" impact wrench worth it?
Yes for mechanics who already own M18 batteries. At $144.99 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, it is a low entry point into a 250 ft-lb compact impact. If you need to remove heavy truck lugs, step up to a 1/2-inch model.
Does it come with a battery and charger?
No. This is a bare tool, so you get the wrench only. You need an M18 18V lithium-ion battery and charger, sold separately.
What is the difference between the friction ring and pin detent versions?
The friction ring grips the socket with spring tension, so sockets pull off quickly by hand. The pin detent locks the socket with a pin and is harder to remove, which suits work where sockets must not fall off.
How much torque does it make?
Milwaukee rates it at 250 ft-lb of maximum fastening torque. Real output depends on the battery used; a high-output M18 pack delivers closer to the rated figure.
When is the best time to buy it?
Prices on bare tools move with promotions and holiday sales. The current best new price is $144.99 at eBay as of November 4, 2026; watch for bundle deals that include a battery.
Where is the Milwaukee M18 FUEL 3/8" Compact Impact Wrench with Friction Ring (Bare Tool) cheapest?
