Our take on the MLILY Ego 14 inch Mattress

The MLILY Ego is a 14-inch gel memory foam mattress sold in a Twin XL size (38 by 80 inches), a length that fits dorm and adjustable-bed frames. The gel infusion is meant to pull heat away from the foam, and the 14-inch profile gives it a deep, plush feel. At $220.07 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026, it sits at the low end of what a 14-inch gel foam mattress usually costs.

Pros
  • Thick 14-inch profile for the price
  • Gel-infused foam aimed at sleeping cooler than plain memory foam
  • Twin XL length fits dorm and adjustable beds
  • Low entry price for a gel foam mattress
Cons
  • All-foam build can sleep warm for hot sleepers
  • Soft foam may be too plush for stomach sleepers or heavy buyers
  • Twin XL only, so no queen or king option here
  • Foam mattresses need time to expand and air out after unboxing

Questions and answers

Is the MLILY Ego 14 inch mattress worth it?
At $220.07 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026, it is a cheap way to get a thick gel foam Twin XL. It suits budget buyers and dorm setups more than shoppers who want a firm or cooling mattress.
Is it good for back and stomach sleepers?
The 14-inch gel foam build is on the soft side, so back sleepers may want more support and stomach sleepers often sink too far. Side sleepers usually get on with it best.
Does the gel foam sleep cool?
Gel infusion helps a little, but this is still a deep all-foam mattress and some owners report sleeping warm. Hot sleepers should weigh that against the low price.
What size is it, and will it fit a dorm bed?
It is Twin XL: 38 inches wide and 80 inches long. That is the standard dorm and adjustable-bed size, so it fits most Twin XL frames and sheets.
How long does it take to expand after unboxing?
Foam mattresses like this usually need about 24 to 72 hours to reach full height. Expect a foam smell for the first day or two, so air it out in a ventilated room.
When is it cheapest?
The best new price seen is $220.07 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026, with two stores listing it new. Mattress prices move around sale periods, so check the price history before buying.
