Our take on the Newone Mini Circular Saw 3500rpm 4.5Amp Corded Compact Circular Saw

The Newone Mini Circular Saw is a corded compact saw rated at 3,500 rpm and 580 W (the listing's 2-amp figure conflicts with its 4.5-amp title, so treat the power spec with caution). It has variable speed and runs on 120 V household current, so no battery or charger is needed. At $30.00 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, it is the cheapest of the two stores listing it new, and at that price it undercuts most name-brand mini saws by a wide margin. Build quality and cut accuracy are the trade-offs at this price point.

Pros
  • Very low price: $30.00 at eBay as of November 4, 2026
  • Variable speed lets you slow down for plastic and thin metal
  • Corded 120 V power means no battery to charge or replace
  • Compact and light enough for one-hand guiding along a straight edge
  • Runs on standard household current
Cons
  • Amp rating is unclear: the title says 4.5A, the spec sheet says 2A
  • No NRTL safety listing, which may matter for insurance or jobsite use
  • 41 lb listed weight is implausible for a mini saw and suggests sloppy specs
  • No battery option, so you are tied to an outlet and extension cord
  • Blade quality and base flatness are usually the weak points on saws this cheap

Questions and answers

Is the Newone Mini Circular Saw worth $30?
For light cuts in plywood, paneling and trim, yes. It is not a substitute for a full-size saw on framing lumber or repeated precise cuts.
Is it 4.5 amps or 2 amps?
The product name says 4.5A but the spec sheet says 2A and 580 W. 580 W works out to roughly 4.8A at 120 V, so the 2A figure looks wrong, but confirm with the seller before buying.
Does it come with a blade?
Most mini saws in this class ship with one general-purpose blade. Check the listing's box contents, since bundles vary by seller.
Can it cut metal or tile?
Only with the correct blade, and variable speed helps on thin metal. It is not designed for tile or masonry.
When is it cheapest?
The best new price seen is $30.00 at eBay as of November 4, 2026. Budget saws like this rarely drop much below that.
