Our take on the Nicpro 1 Gallon Crystal Clear Epoxy Resin Kit

The Nicpro 1 Gallon Crystal Clear Epoxy Resin Kit is a two-part resin and hardener set sold as two bottles totaling one gallon, formulated to cure firm and clear. Nicpro markets it for casting, coating and craft work, and the label rates it for advanced users, so it suits people who have poured resin before rather than first-timers. At $39.98 at Walmart as of November 3, 2026, it is the only new price listed, so there is no recent range to compare it against.

Pros
  • One gallon total gives a large volume for the price
  • Crystal clear finish suits casting and coating work
  • Two-part kit includes both resin and hardener
  • Firm cure holds shape in open molds
  • Sold at a mainstream retailer, easy to reorder
Cons
  • Rated for advanced users, so beginners may struggle with mixing and bubbles
  • Gel form and firm texture are less forgiving for deep pours than thin casting resins
  • No listed working time or mix ratio on the page, so you must check the bottle labels
  • Only one store price listed, so there is little competition to push the price down
  • Large volume can go to waste if you only need small batches

Questions and answers

Is this kit worth it at $39.98?
At $39.98 at Walmart as of November 3, 2026, it is a reasonable price for a full gallon of two-part epoxy. It is worth it if you will use most of the gallon within its shelf life.
How much resin does the kit actually contain?
The pack is two bottles totaling one gallon, which includes both resin and hardener. Expect somewhat less than a gallon of mixed, pourable epoxy.
Is it suitable for beginners?
The label rates it for advanced users. Beginners can use it, but should practice on a small batch first and measure the mix ratio carefully.
How long does it take to cure?
Cure time depends on temperature and pour thickness, and the listing does not state a working or cure time. Check the bottle labels for the exact schedule before starting a project.
Can I use it for deep pours?
It is a gel with a firm cure, which suits thinner coats and small molds better than thick, deep pours. For deep castings, pour in layers to avoid overheating and bubbles.
When is the price lowest?
Only one new price, $39.98 at Walmart as of November 3, 2026, is listed, so there is no recent range to judge a low point. Watch for craft-store sales and seasonal promotions on large resin kits.
