Is the Mario Kart World bundle worth it over the console alone?

At $549.99 at ShopCGX as of November 4, 2026, you pay the standard console price and get the game download and a 3-month online membership on top. If you want Mario Kart World anyway, the bundle costs no more than the bare console.

Does it come with a physical game card?

No. Mario Kart World is a digital download code, and the 3-month Nintendo Switch Online membership is also a code. The box includes the console, dock, Joy-Con 2 pair, AC adapter and HDMI cable.

Can I play my old Switch games on it?

Yes, most original Switch games work on Switch 2. A small number have compatibility issues, and some need a paid upgrade for Switch 2 features.

Do I need a microSD Express card?

Only if 256GB fills up. Switch 2 uses microSD Express cards, which are faster and pricier than standard microSD, and they are sold separately.

How do I get 4K output?

Connect the console to the dock and use a compatible 4K TV and HDMI cable. Only some games run at 4K; others top out at 1080p or 1440p.
