Is the Switch 2 worth it over the original Switch?

If you play handheld a lot, the bigger 7.9-inch 1080p HDR screen and 120 fps support are the main draws. Docked players get up to 4K on supported games. Owners of the original Switch who mostly play older titles have less reason to upgrade.

Does this bundle include the game as a download or a cartridge?

It includes Pokémon Legends: Z-A as a Nintendo Switch 2 Edition. Confirm with the store whether your copy is a physical card or a download code before ordering, since bundles have shipped both ways.

Can I play my old Switch games on it?

Yes, the Switch 2 plays most original Switch games, and many run better on the new hardware. A few titles have compatibility caveats, so check Nintendo's list for any game you rely on.

The bundle has the Switch 2 console, dock, Joy-Con 2 controllers, a carrying case, a cleaning kit and Pokémon Legends: Z-A for Switch 2. HDMI cable and power adapter come with the standard console package.

When is the best time to buy this bundle?

Nintendo hardware discounts are rare, and bundle prices mostly move on retailer promotions around the holidays. The current best new price is $659.95 at Walmart as of November 7, 2026; watch for a drop below that.
