Our take on the Nishiki Colorado Limited Edition Mountain Bike 29" Men's

The Nishiki Colorado Limited Edition is a 29-inch men's hardtail mountain bike with an aluminum frame, front suspension and an 8-speed drivetrain. It is built for light trail riding, gravel paths and commuting rather than aggressive downhill use. The 29-inch wheels roll over roots and curbs more easily than smaller wheels, and the aluminum frame keeps weight reasonable for the price. As of November 4, 2026, the best new price is $349.98 at DICK'S Sporting Goods, the only store listing it new.

Questions and answers

Is the Nishiki Colorado Limited Edition worth it?
At $349.98 at DICK'S Sporting Goods as of November 4, 2026, it is a fair price for an aluminum 29-inch hardtail with front suspension. It suits light trails and commuting; riders planning serious mountain terrain should budget for a better fork and wider gearing.
Is this bike good for beginners?
Yes. The upright position, 8-speed gearing and front suspension are forgiving for new riders on paths and easy trails. It is not built for jumps or steep technical descents.
What size rider fits the 29-inch men's frame?
The 29-inch figure refers to wheel size, not frame size. Check the frame size listed for your height before buying, since a poorly sized frame is the most common fit problem.
How does it compare with a 27.5-inch mountain bike?
The 29-inch wheels roll over roots and curbs more easily and hold speed better on open trails. A 27.5-inch bike feels quicker and more agile in tight turns.
Does it come with pedals and ready to ride?
Bikes in this class usually ship with basic pedals and need minor assembly, such as attaching the front wheel and handlebars. Confirm the box contents with the store before ordering.
When is the price lowest?
The only new listing as of November 4, 2026 is $349.98 at DICK'S Sporting Goods. Entry-level bikes often drop during spring sales and end-of-season clearance, so watch for markdowns then.
Where is the Nishiki Colorado Limited Edition Mountain Bike 29" Men's cheapest?
At DICK'S Sporting Goods, for $349.98, as of our latest check.
