Our take on the Ktaxon 26 Inch 7 Speed Mountain Bike

The Ktaxon 26-inch mountain bike is a budget full-suspension bike with a steel frame, 7-speed drivetrain and V-brakes. It has 26-inch wheels with 2.125-inch tires, a 16-inch frame and a 265 lb max load. It ships unassembled. At $129.99 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026, it sits at the low end of what a new full-suspension bike costs; only one store prices it new, so there is no cheaper new option to compare against.

Questions and answers

Is the Ktaxon 26-inch mountain bike worth it?
At $129.99 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026, it is a cheap way to get a full-suspension bike. Expect budget parts and some assembly work; it suits light riding, not serious trails.
How much assembly does it need?
It ships unassembled. You will fit the front wheel, handlebars, seat and pedals and adjust the brakes and gears; a shop tune-up is worth the cost if you are not handy.
Is full suspension on this bike real?
Yes, it has front and rear suspension, but at this price the shocks are basic and tuned for comfort rather than hard trail riding.
Will it fit me?
The frame is 16 inches with 26-inch wheels, which generally suits riders roughly 5'3" to 5'9". Check the standover height before buying if you are near the edges.
Are V-brakes good enough?
They work for dry, casual riding but lose power when wet and need pad checks. Disc brakes stop better, but you will not find them at this price.
When is it cheapest?
Only Walmart lists it new at $129.99 as of November 4, 2026, so there is little price competition. Watch for seasonal sales rather than expecting a lower store price.
Where is the Ktaxon 26 Inch 7 Speed Mountain Bike cheapest?
At Walmart, for $129.99, as of our latest check.
What do buyers say about the Ktaxon 26 Inch 7 Speed Mountain Bike?
Rated 3.7 out of 5 from 20 ratings.
