Is the Electro 5D 73 still worth buying used?

Yes if the organ and piano sounds are your priority and you can inspect the unit. Check every fader, button and key before paying, since this listing is sold as is.

How does it compare with the Electro 6D?

The 6D adds a third split point, seamless transitions and a revised sample synth. The 5D 73 still covers organ, piano and synth well and usually costs less used.

Does it have weighted keys?

No. It uses a semi-weighted waterfall keybed, which favors organ playing over a graded hammer piano feel.

Is a sustain pedal included?

No pedal is included. The board has a sustain pedal input, so budget for a pedal separately.

Expect the keyboard and a power cable only. No pedal, stand or case is included with this used listing.

Used prices dip when a unit shows cosmetic wear or faults, and when the 6D pushes 5D trade-ins onto the market. Compare several used listings before buying.

Our take on the Nord Electro 5D 73 Stage Keyboard

The Nord Electro 5D 73 is a gigging keyboard built around three sound engines: tonewheel organ with drawbuttons, acoustic and electric pianos, and a sample synth section. Its 73-note semi-weighted waterfall keybed splits and layers, and the board weighs about 20 lbs at 42 inches wide, so one person can carry it. The listing here is a used unit sold as is, so condition matters more than spec. No current price was given for this page, so compare it against other used 5D 73 listings before buying.
