Is $614.40 a good price for this rug?

It is the only new price listed, $614.40 at Macy's as of November 8, 2026, so there is no recent range to judge against. Compare it with other 5' x 7'6" handwoven wool rugs before deciding.

Does it need a rug pad?

Yes. It has no nonslip backing, so a pad is needed to keep it in place and add cushioning.

How much does it shed?

Moderate shedding is expected, mostly in the first weeks. Regular vacuuming without a beater bar helps.

How should I clean it?

Professional cleaning is recommended. Vacuum regularly and blot spills promptly rather than machine washing.

It is 5 feet wide by 7'6" long, rectangular, with a pile about 0.75 inch high.

Our take on the Nourison Marana MNN01 Rug

The Nourison Marana MNN01 is a handwoven 5' x 7'6" rectangular area rug in 100% wool, with a textured loop pile about 0.75 inch high. It is an indoor-only contemporary piece with all-natural fibers and no nonslip backing, so a pad is needed on hard floors. Wool loop pile sheds moderately at first and is best cleaned professionally. At $614.40 at Macy's as of November 8, 2026, it is the only new price listed, so there is no recent range to compare against.
