nuLOOM Elliot Wool Area Rug

Our take on the nuLOOM Elliot Wool Area Rug

The nuLOOM Elliot is a handmade tufted wool area rug in olive with a small spot pattern, sold in an 8-foot runner length. Wool gives it a warm, dense feel and natural stain resistance, but tufted wool sheds and needs a pad on hard floors. At $91.99 at Ashley as of November 4, 2026, it is the lowest new price among the two stores that carry it.

Questions and answers

Is $91.99 a good price for this rug?

It is the lowest new price across the two stores that carry it, as of November 4, 2026. Wool runners of this length often sell for $100 to $200, so it is a fair deal.

Does this rug shed?

Yes. Tufted wool rugs typically shed loose fibers for the first few weeks. Vacuum without a beater bar and shedding will slow down.

Do I need a rug pad?

Yes. A pad keeps the runner from sliding, adds cushion and reduces wear. It also helps stop the edges from curling.

Can it go in a bathroom or kitchen?

It is indoor-only and wool, so it handles kitchens and entryways well. Avoid bathrooms and other damp spots, since wool holds moisture.

How do I clean it?

Vacuum regularly and blot spills right away with a damp cloth. For deeper cleaning, use a wool-safe cleaner or a professional rug cleaning.
