Our take on the Opux Insulated Lunch Box for Kids Girls

The Opux Insulated Lunch Box is a soft-sided tote-style lunch bag with an insulated lining, sized for kids and sold in girl-oriented prints. It is a low-cost bag aimed at school lunches and day trips rather than heavy-duty cooling. At $13.99 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026, it sits at the low end of its usual selling range, so this is a fair price rather than a markdown worth waiting on.

Questions and answers

Is the Opux Insulated Lunch Box worth it?
At $13.99 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026, it is a reasonable buy for a kid's school lunch. It is a basic insulated tote, so expect simple cooling, not all-day refrigeration.
How long does it keep food cold?
The insulated lining holds cold for a few hours, which covers a morning-to-lunch schedule. Add a small ice pack for hot days or longer trips.
Is it big enough for an adult lunch?
It is sized for kids, so a full adult lunch with several containers may not fit. It handles a sandwich, a snack and a drink comfortably.
Is it leakproof?
No. The fabric body is not sealed, so use leak-resistant containers and upright bottles to avoid spills soaking through.
What comes in the box?
The bag itself. No ice pack or containers are included, so plan to buy those separately.
When is it cheapest?
It already sits near the bottom of its price range at $13.99. Back-to-school season is when lunch bags usually see their deepest discounts.
