Questions and answers

Is the Opux lunch box worth it at $15.99?
At $15.99 at Target as of November 4, 2026, it is a low-cost way to get a 12-can-capacity insulated bag. If you need a washable or hard-sided cooler, spend more.
How much food fits in it?
The bag holds up to 12 cans and measures 7 inches deep, 7 wide and 9 tall. That covers a lunch plus drinks, but not large meal-prep containers.
Does it keep food hot and cold?
Yes, the thermal lining is designed to hold temperature for a normal commute or school day. It is not a cooler and will not keep food cold for many hours in heat.
Can I wash it in the machine?
No. Opux says to spot or wipe clean the 600D polyester and lining. Machine washing can break down the insulation.
What comes in the box?
The lunch bag with its padded reinforced handle strap and front pocket. No ice pack or containers are included.
When is it cheapest?
Back-to-school season and late-summer sales are when lunch bags like this drop most. The current $15.99 at Target is already near the bottom of its recent range.
