Questions and answers

Is the Krazy Americana rod worth $49.97?
At $49.97 at Profishiency as of November 4, 2026, it is a low-cost way to get an IM7 blank and cork grips. It suits anglers who want a spare or starter casting rod more than those chasing premium sensitivity.
What reel and line should I pair with it?
A low-profile baitcasting reel in the 6.4:1 to 7.3:1 range balances the 6'8" medium-heavy blank well. Spool 12 to 17 lb fluorocarbon or 30 to 40 lb braid for jigs, Texas rigs and spinnerbaits.
Is medium-heavy power too stiff for finesse fishing?
Yes, mostly. The fast, medium-heavy taper is built for single-hook baits and moderate cover, so drop-shot and small crankbaits will feel overmatched. Use a medium or medium-light rod for those.
How many guides does the rod have?
It has nine stainless steel guides plus a tip guide, listed as 9+1. That count is typical for a 6'8" casting rod and helps keep line off the blank under load.
Is it a one-piece or two-piece rod?
The listed specs give only the 6'8" length and do not state a piece count. Confirm the breakdown with the store before buying if transport space matters.
When is the price lowest?
The best new price seen is $49.97 at Profishiency as of November 4, 2026, with two stores listing it new. Rod prices often dip around spring fishing sales and holiday events, so compare both stores before buying.
Where is the ProFISHiency Krazy Americana 6' 8" Medium Casting Fishing Rod cheapest?

Where can I buy the ProFISHiency Krazy Americana 6' 8" Medium Casting Fishing Rod?
