Our take on the Rokinon 10mm f/2.8 ED AS NCS CS Lens

The Rokinon 10mm f/2.8 ED AS NCS CS is a manual-focus ultra-wide prime for crop-sensor cameras, sold in mounts including Canon EF/M, Nikon F, Pentax K, Fujifilm X and Micro 4/3. Its 14-element, 9-group design with nano coating and a fast f/2.8 aperture makes it a low-cost way to shoot very wide on APS-C, where it behaves like roughly a 15-16mm full-frame equivalent. It is fully manual: no autofocus, no stabilization and no electronic communication with the body. The best new price is $229.00 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026, with 10 stores listing it new.

Questions and answers

Is the Rokinon 10mm f/2.8 worth it?
Yes if you want an ultra-wide on APS-C and can live with manual focus. At $229.00 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026, it is far cheaper than most autofocus ultra-wides.
Does it autofocus?
No. It is manual focus only, with an internal focusing system and a 0.24 m minimum focus distance.
Will the aperture show in my photos?
No. The lens has no electronic contacts, so aperture is set on the lens ring and EXIF usually records no aperture value.
What is the field of view on APS-C?
About 15-16mm in full-frame terms on most APS-C bodies, and wider on Micro 4/3. It is a rectilinear ultra-wide, not a fisheye.

The lens and a lens cap. A petal-type hood is the matching accessory, and it is not water resistant.
