Is the Safavieh Florida Shag rug worth it?

For a large round shag at a low price, yes. It is synthetic rather than wool, so expect a shorter lifespan than a premium shag, but it is soft and stain-resistant.

How do I clean a polypropylene shag rug?

Vacuum with a suction-only head, not a beater bar, and blot spills with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid soaking the backing.

Does it need a rug pad?

Yes. A pad keeps the round shape from sliding, adds cushioning under the thin woven backing, and helps the pile last longer.

Will the 9-foot round fit under a round dining table?

A 9-foot round rug works under a 60-inch round table with chairs pulled out. Measure your room first, since the rug leaves little border in smaller spaces.

Some loose fibers come off when new. Vacuum gently and shedding usually settles after a few weeks.
