Our take on the Samsung Galaxy A42 5G 128GB Smartphone

The Samsung Galaxy A42 5G is a 2020 mid-range phone with a 6.6-inch Super AMOLED display, 5G, and a large 5,000 mAh battery. It runs Android 11 on a Snapdragon 750G chip with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The 720p display resolution (266 ppi) and 60Hz refresh rate are below what many rivals offer at this price. At $124.99 new from Walmart as of November 3, 2026, it is near the low end of its recent price range and is a cheap way to get 5G and long battery life.
