Questions and answers

Is the TANK 5 worth $979.99?
If you need a rugged phone with a 3K 120Hz AMOLED screen, 18GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, $979.99 at Amazon as of November 4, 2026 is the only new price listed. Mainstream flagships at that price are lighter and better supported but far less tough.
How does it compare with a mainstream flagship?
The Dimensity 9400e and 18GB of RAM put it near flagship performance, and the 3K AMOLED matches flagship sharpness. Mainstream phones win on weight, camera systems and update length; the TANK 5 wins on durability and storage.
Will it work on my carrier?
It is sold unlocked with 5G listed for Bell, Rogers, Videotron, Freedom and Telus in Canada; EE, O2, Vodafone, Three, Sky and Virgin in the UK; and Optus, Telstra and VHA in Australia. Check your carrier's 5G bands before buying.
Does it take two SIM cards?
No. It has a single SIM slot plus eSIM support, and a separate TF card slot for storage up to 2TB. You cannot run two physical SIMs at once.
Is the 715g weight a problem?
At 715g and 33.8mm thick it is roughly three times the weight of a typical phone. It is fine in a pocket for site work but tiring for one-handed use over long calls.
What comes in the box?
Expect the phone, a charger and a USB cable. A screen protector and case are not confirmed, so budget for them if you want extra protection.
Where is the TANK 5 5G Rugged Smartphone cheapest?
At Amazon, for $979.99, as of our latest check.
