Is the Sango Roma Sage salad plate worth buying?

It is worth it if you already own Roma Sage pieces and need a replacement or an extra plate. If you are starting fresh, a current open-stock stoneware line will be cheaper and easier to expand.

Is this plate dishwasher and microwave safe?

Sango stoneware from this era is generally described as dishwasher safe, but microwave use is less certain. Check the back stamp on the specific plate before microwaving it.

What size is the Sango Roma Sage salad plate?

It measures 8 1/8 inches across, which is a standard salad or dessert plate size. It is smaller than the Roma dinner plate, so do not expect it to hold a full meal.

Can I buy a full set of Roma Sage plates?

Rarely. The line is discontinued, so most listings are single plates or small lots. Building a set means buying piece by piece from resellers.

Will this plate match my existing Sango Roma dishes?

It should match other Roma Sage pieces, since the pattern and glaze are the same line. Slight glaze variation between production runs is normal, so expect small color differences.

When is the best time to buy a replacement plate?

Prices for discontinued stoneware swing with supply, so compare recent sold prices before buying. Single plates often cost less when sellers list them in small lots rather than one at a time.

Our take on the Sango Roma Sage Salad Plate

The Sango Roma Sage Salad Plate is an 8 1/8-inch stoneware plate in Sango's Roma Sage pattern, a line known for muted sage-green rims and a rustic, hand-thrown look. It works as a salad or dessert plate and mixes easily with plain white dinnerware. Sango's Roma line has been discontinued for years, so plates sell mainly as open-stock or replacement pieces rather than full sets. No current price was provided, so check the latest listing against recent sold prices for single plates.
