Our take on the SENIX 22" 201cc Gas Variable Speed Self-Propelled Lawn Mower

The SENIX 22-inch gas mower runs a 201cc SENIX RV200-2 engine with variable self-propelled drive up to 2.9 MPH. It cuts three ways: mulch, side discharge or rear bag into a 19-gallon bag, with cutting heights from 1.25 to 4 inches. The 22-inch deck and 11-inch rear wheels suit larger yards and rougher ground than a 20-inch push mower. It carries a 2-year warranty, shorter than the 3-year coverage many major brands offer.

Questions and answers

Is the SENIX 22-inch self-propelled mower worth it?
It fits shoppers who want a wide 22-inch deck and variable self-propulsion at a lower price than big-name brands. The trade-off is a 2-year warranty and a smaller 201cc engine than premium mowers.
How fast is the self-propelled drive?
The variable drive goes from a slow walk up to 2.9 MPH. You set the pace with the drive lever rather than a fixed single speed.
Can it mulch, bag and side discharge?
Yes. It is a 3-in-1 mower: mulch, side discharge or rear bag into the 19-gallon bag. You switch by changing the plug and discharge chute.
What cutting height range does it have?
Heights run from 1.25 inches for a close cut up to 4 inches for taller grass. Adjust the wheels to the height you want.
What engine does it use?
It uses a 201cc SENIX RV200-2 gas engine. That is on the small side for a 22-inch deck, so take lighter passes in thick, wet grass.
What is in the box?
The mower, grass bag, side discharge chute and mulching plug. Check the listing for the exact contents before ordering.
