Is the Serta Motion Essentials IV worth it?

At $897 at Carol House Furniture as of November 4, 2026, it is a reasonable mid-range adjustable base with massage and USB ports. It lacks premium presets like zero gravity, so compare if those matter to you.

Does it work with any queen mattress?

It fits standard queen mattresses, including memory foam and hybrid. Innerspring mattresses work too, but check that yours is flexible enough to bend at the hinge.

Do I need a box spring with this base?

No. The base replaces a box spring and frame, and slats are not included because the deck itself supports the mattress.

How much weight can it hold?

The base is rated for 650 lbs total, which covers most couples plus a heavy mattress.

The base ships with the frame, legs, wireless remote and hardware. Assembly is required, and a mattress is not included.
