Will it hold a 40 oz Hydro Flask?

Yes. Bottles from 32 to 40 oz with a body diameter of 3.4 to 3.8 inches are the intended fit. Check your bottle's width before buying.

Does it fit my car's cup holder?

It is made for cup holder openings that match a base diameter of 2.5 to 3.75 inches. Measure the opening first, since very small or very deep holders may not seat it.

If a full bottle keeps tipping in your car, it is a cheap fix compared with replacing the bottle. It is the only new price listed as of November 4, 2026, so there is no lower recent price to wait for.

Plastic with rubber grip surfaces, in black. The rubber is what keeps the bottle from sliding.

Will it scratch my bottle?

The rubber contact points are meant to grip without scratching. Grit trapped under the insert can still mark a painted bottle, so rinse it now and then.

Can I leave it in the cup holder?

Yes, but it blocks the holder for normal cups. Most owners pull it out when they are not carrying a large bottle.

Our take on the Seven Sparta Expander (32 to 46 oz)

The Seven Sparta Expander is a plastic and rubber insert that widens a car cup holder so 32 to 46 oz bottles sit steady instead of tipping. It fits base diameters from 2.5 to 3.75 inches and bottle bodies from 3.4 to 3.8 inches, which covers most large insulated bottles. At $12.79 at Amazon as of November 4, 2026, it is the only new price listed, so there is no recent range to compare against.
