Is the Swigzy Cup Holder Expander worth it?

If your car's cup holders are too narrow for a Hydro Flask or large tumbler, it solves that problem for about $27. At $26.99 at Amazon as of November 4, 2026, it is at the low end of its recent range.

What size bottles and cups does it hold?

It grips vessels from 2.8 to 3.85 inches in diameter, which covers most Hydro Flasks, Yeti tumblers and large fast-food cups.

Will it fit my car's cup holder?

It is designed for most car and truck cup holders, but the base is wide, so shallow or unusually shaped wells may not accept it. The adjustment screw lets you offset the base to clear console trim.

Does it scratch bottles or the console?

The grip comes from soft rubber tabs, which are meant to hold bottles firmly without scratching them.

You get the expander itself, which installs with its single adjustment screw and needs no tools.

Our take on the Swigzy Cup Holder Expander

The Swigzy Cup Holder Expander is a plastic adapter that drops into a car or truck cup holder and widens it to grip bottles and cups from 2.8 to 3.85 inches across, including Hydro Flasks and large tumblers. Rubber tabs hold the vessel firmly without scratching it, and a single adjustment screw lets you offset the base so it clears console trim. It weighs about 15 ounces, so it stays put but adds bulk. At $26.99 at Amazon as of November 4, 2026, it sits at the low end of its recent range, with two stores listing it new.
