Our take on the Sharper Image Travel EVA Molded 5 Piece Softside Luggage Set

The Sharper Image Travel EVA Molded 5 Piece Softside Luggage Set bundles five soft-sided bags built on molded EVA shells, with 360-degree eight-wheel spinner systems and retractable push-button handles on the wheeled pieces. The set includes a carry-on duffel with external and internal organizational pockets and pop-color webbing straps, plus 2 inches of expansion on the expandable cases. At $160.99 at Macy's as of November 3, 2026, it sits at the low end of its recent price range, with only two stores listing it new. It is a budget-friendly family set rather than a premium hard-shell kit.

Questions and answers

Is the Sharper Image 5-piece set worth it?
At $160.99 at Macy's as of November 3, 2026, it works out to roughly $32 per bag, which is low for spinner luggage. It suits budget travelers who want a full matching set more than buyers who need heavy-duty protection.
How does it compare with hard-shell luggage?
The molded EVA soft sides flex and expand 2 inches, so they pack more forgivingly than rigid polycarbonate. Hard shells resist crushing better, which matters if you check fragile items.
Do the wheels hold up?
The set uses an eight-wheel spinner system per wheeled bag, which rolls smoothly but puts more small parts in contact with the ground. Reviews flag wheel and zipper wear as the main long-term concern.
What sizes are in the set?
It is a five-piece set spanning carry-on through larger checked bags, plus a carry-on duffel with organizer pockets. Confirm the exact dimensions on the listing before buying for airline carry-on limits.
Does it have a lock or warranty?
No TSA lock is listed, and warranty terms are not specified, so check with the retailer before purchase. Add a cable lock if you check bags.
When is it cheapest?
Luggage sets typically discount around Black Friday, back-to-school and spring travel sales. The current $160.99 at Macy's is already near the low end of its recent range.
Where is the Sharper Image Travel EVA Molded 5 Piece Softside Luggage Set cheapest?
