Skyzone 2-Tier Weatherproof Wooden Cat House

Our take on the Skyzone 2-Tier Weatherproof Wooden Cat House

The Skyzone 2-Tier Weatherproof Wooden Cat House is an outdoor wooden shelter with two levels: an enclosed lower cabin and an upper deck. The weatherproof finish and raised design suit porches, patios and gardens where a cat needs shade and a dry spot. It ships unassembled and needs adult assembly with your own tools. The best new price is $161.00 at Target as of November 4, 2026, and only one store lists it new, so there is no cheaper new option to compare against.

Questions and answers

Is the Skyzone 2-Tier Wooden Cat House worth $161?

At $161 at Target as of November 4, 2026, it is a fair price for a two-level wooden outdoor house. Comparable wooden cat houses often cost $120 to $200, so it sits mid-range. If you only need a simple shelter, a cheaper single-level box may do.

Does it come with tools for assembly?

No. Adult assembly is required and tools are not provided, so have a screwdriver and drill on hand. Budget 30 to 60 minutes to put it together.

Is it really weatherproof?

The wood is treated for outdoor use, but weatherproof wood still needs resealing every year or two. Place it under an eave or on a covered porch for the longest life.

Is it warm enough for winter?

No. It has no insulation, so it works as a windbreak and rain shelter but not as a heated winter home. Add straw bedding and move it out of direct wind, or bring the cat inside in freezing weather.

How many cats fit?

It suits one or two cats. The lower cabin is the sleeping area and the upper deck is a lookout spot, so two cats can share it without crowding.

When is the price lowest?

Outdoor pet furniture tends to drop in late summer and early fall as stores clear seasonal stock. With only one new listing at $161, watch for a markdown rather than expecting a competing store to undercut it.

Where is the Skyzone 2-Tier Weatherproof Wooden Cat House cheapest?

At Target, for $161.00, as of our latest check.
