Our take on the Solar Powered Outdoor Dusk to Dawn Security Flood Light

A solar LED flood light that mounts on a lamp post and switches on automatically from dusk to dawn. It runs on a 3.2V system, so it needs no wiring and no wall outlet. At $32.99 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026, it is the only new price listed, so there is no recent range to compare it against. Expect modest light output at this voltage and price.

Questions and answers

Is it bright enough for security?
It is a 3.2V solar LED, so treat it as accent or path lighting rather than a true security flood. For motion-triggered brightness, a mains-powered or higher-voltage solar unit is a better fit.
How long does the battery last on a charge?
A full sunny day of charging typically carries it through the night. In winter or several cloudy days in a row, expect shorter run time or dimmer output.
Can I mount it on a wall instead of a lamp post?
It is designed for lamp post installation. Wall or eave mounting may need a separate bracket, and the solar panel must still face direct sun.
What comes in the box?
Expect the light head with the LED and solar panel, mounting hardware for a post, and a battery. Check the listing for the exact battery type before ordering a spare.
Is $32.99 a good price?
It is the only new price listed as of November 4, 2026, so there is no range to judge against. Comparable solar dusk-to-dawn floods usually sell in the $25 to $50 range, so it sits in the middle.
Where is the Solar Powered Outdoor Dusk to Dawn Security Flood Light cheapest?
At Walmart, for $32.99, as of our latest check.
What do buyers say about the Solar Powered Outdoor Dusk to Dawn Security Flood Light?
Rated 3.5 out of 5 from 353 ratings.
