Is the Sony K77XR80U worth $3,899.99?

If you want a large OLED with Sony processing and 120 Hz gaming support, it is a strong pick. Shoppers who mostly watch in bright rooms may get more value from a brighter Mini-LED set at the same price.

How does it compare with Sony's older A80L?

The XR80U is the newer Bravia 8 line, with the same OLED strengths plus current HDMI 2.1 and Wi-Fi 6E support. The step up is modest for movie watching but more useful for gamers.

Does it support 4K 120 Hz for PS5 and Xbox Series X?

Yes. It has a 120 Hz native panel and four HDMI inputs, so current consoles can run 4K at 120 Hz on the right ports.

What are the dimensions and weight?

Without the stand it is about 1713 x 984 x 38 mm and 32.3 kg; with the stand it is about 1713 x 1012 x 405 mm and 34 kg. It uses a 300 x 300 mm VESA mount.

Is OLED burn-in a concern?

It can happen with static logos, tickers or desktop taskbars left on for long periods. Vary content and use the TV's screen-shift and dimming features to lower the risk.

Large OLEDs usually drop during Black Friday, Super Bowl season and spring clearance. With only one store listing it new as of November 7, 2026, watch that listing for cuts rather than comparing stores.
