Our take on the Sony PlayStation 5 Disc Edition with Two Controllers White and Cosmic Red DualSense and Mytrix Dual Controller Charger

A PlayStation 5 with a disc drive, bundled with two DualSense controllers (white and Cosmic Red) and a Mytrix dual charging dock. The disc model plays physical PS5 and PS4 discs and supports 4K output at up to 120Hz with HDR. The bundle's best new price is $899.99 at Newegg as of November 7, 2026, well above what a single-controller console usually costs, so the premium buys the extra controller and charger.

Questions and answers

Is the disc edition worth it over the digital edition?
If you buy physical games, borrow discs or watch Blu-rays, yes. The digital edition is cheaper but locks you to the PlayStation Store.
Does this bundle include two controllers?
Yes, the bundle pairs a white DualSense with a Cosmic Red one, plus a Mytrix dual charger. Check the box contents on arrival, since the listing's accessory line mentions only one gamepad.
Can it play PS4 games?
Yes. Most PS4 discs and downloads run on the PS5, and many get faster load times or higher frame rates.
What ports does it have?
It has HDMI 2.1, Gigabit Ethernet, USB-A and USB-C ports, and Bluetooth for controllers. There is no optical audio out.
Is $899.99 a good price?
That is the only new price listed, at Newegg as of November 7, 2026, and it is high for a PS5. Compare it against a standard console plus a separate controller and charger before buying.
Can I add more storage?
Yes. The PS5 takes an M.2 NVMe SSD in its expansion slot, which is the usual fix for the small built-in drive.
Where is the Sony PlayStation 5 Disc Edition with Two Controllers White and Cosmic Red DualSense and Mytrix Dual Controller Charger cheapest?
At Newegg, for $899.99, as of our latest check.
